The performance of Phragmites communis Trin. in relation to temperature. 1975. Annals of Botany. 39, 8818.
ABSTRACT
The wide distribution of Phragmites communis Trin. is partly due to the presence of biotypes physiologically adapted to different climates. Seedling establishment, bud emergence and the timing of the growth cycle are the most affected by temperature variations. The timing of the growth cycle is both genetically and environmentally controlled; the others are mainly determined by the environment.
